London Mayor Sadiq Khan has thrown his support behind a number of mothballed and embattled rail schemes in his London Plan.
The London Plan was formally adopted last week and includes provisions for the Bakerloo Line Extension, Crossrail 2 as well as southern and western rail links to Heathrow Airport.
Both the Bakerloo Line Extension and Crossrail 2 have been “mothballed” in recent months due to funding constraints at TfL.
Meanwhile, both rail links to Heathrow have struggled to get off the ground since the government appealed for ideas from the industry to connect the airport with better transport links.
